On Location with Laura Jean at Coterie Fall/Winter 2016

Last week was busy for the Laura Jean team at Coterie!

Coterie is the New York City-based trade show held twice a year in February and September for buyers to shop apparel, jewelry and accessories from hundreds of retailers . Sole Commerce, the footwear trade show, and TMRW, a selective portfolio of emerging designers, are also within Coterie. 

Although many brands have their own showrooms in New York City or Los Angeles, Coterie serves as the ultimate one-stop shop to visit multiple retailers. The Javits Center is the immense venue that host all of the retailers—it can be intimidating to navigate, especially while rushing around to make appointments, but it's amazing to see how each retailer merchandises their individual booth. 

It's easy to be biased, but the premium denim retailers have the best booths! Not only are they spacious to comfortable accommodate multiple buyers, but they also have special branded goodies to enjoy during appointments —AG Jeans is known for its healthy catered lunches and open bar!

We had a great time buying new merchandise and touching base with our sales representatives from each of our retailers!

Now to wait for all of the deliveries to come in throughout the spring, summer and fall...
